The CFA Pet Food Bank generally operates on Tuesdays from 4p.m. to 5p.m. Applicants must call the CFA office and qualify in order to receive pet food and supplies.
To request Pet Food Bank assistance, you must call the CFA office and speak with a CFA team member at (360) 456-8176 during business hours. All applicants must sign up by the preceding Monday at NOON for same week pick up. CFA is a non-profit organization and our ability to fund the Pet Food Bank is subject to availability. No exotics or exotic hybrids. We cannot guarantee pet food is available. CFA reserves the right to deny assistance.

ELIGIBILITY: Concern for Animals (CFA) Food Bank offers temporary assistance to pet owners experiencing economic hardship. A current photo I.D. is required each time, plus proof of low income and spay/neuter must be provided by second visit.
*(Low income proof includes: award letters or current paperwork for verification of SSD/SSI; Food Stamps; Major VA Disability; WIC; Section 8 Housing; TANF; Medicaid; Unemployment; Social Security; College student ID; Military ID; or other state/federal public assistance.)
CFA will allow only one visit per year to someone experiencing financial hardship, without low income proof as follows: in between jobs, unexpected medical bills, single family, divorce or other circumstances. Pet owners will receive an adequate food supply; however, the Food Bank is not to be used as a permanent source of pet food. This program is to assist your family. All animals must be spayed or neutered.
Pick up times are Tuesdays at 4p.m. at Concern for Animals: 1414 State Avenue, Olympia (off Central Street and Olympic Drive).
If a holiday falls on a Tuesday, the Food Bank will be open the following day. Only one (1) donation per household address is allowed. A valid picture ID such as a driver’s license is required; recipients cannot pick up donations for other people. A designated caregiver may pick up food on behalf of a pet owner by supplying a signed authorization letter and copy of owner’s picture ID. Pet owners that are eligible for assistance may use the Food Bank no more than six (6) times per year and only one time per month. The recipient cannot acquire more animals while participating in this program. All recipient information is kept strictly confidential and not shared with any other organization. We reserve the right to refuse anyone under any circumstance.
A copy of our detailed Food Bank Guidelines will be given to you the first time you visit the food bank.
