Volunteer Information

There are two immediate vacancies on the board of directors:

Executive Board-Treasurer: manage finances, safeguards the funds of the organization, keeps accurate records, reports monthly to the board, handle administrative fiscal matters, helps create the annual budget and carries out duties listed under Board Member. Experience in accounting a must.

Board Member: attends monthly board meetings, assist with event planning, volunteers at least two hours per month at CFA events and carries out other specific duties assigned to this position.  Law background is preferable.

As a board member your fundamental role is to oversee the implementation of the not-for-profit organization’s mission. This is a very rewarding volunteer opportunity and we’re looking for people with a passion to serve on behalf of the welfare of animals and to utilize their professional skills. Food Bank Volunteers Needed We need volunteers to help staff the Food Bank on the first Saturday of each month.  The Drop-Off hours are 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Rick's Automotive, 3531 Pacific Avenue, Olympia (off Fones Road and behind Phyl's Furniture).  If interested in volunteering, please contact Sarah at Sarah@concernforaimals.org.  Thank you for helping us stock our Food Bank so pet owners in need can feed their dogs and cats.

Serve as a Volunteer

Concern for Animals has lots of volunteer opportunities available to help our animals and programs!  We often need volunteers to help with special events, like Toasts for Tails, and renovation projects at our new office, located at 1414 State Avenue, Olympia.  Once you’re on our volunteer list, we will send out frequent email communications about our needs and events.
